Lalime Assigned To Norfolk For Conditioning

by Staff Writer / Chicago Blackhawks

General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have assigned goaltender Patrick Lalime to Norfolk for a two week conditioning period.

Lalime was signed as a free agent on July 1. He underwent surgery to repair a herniated disc in his back in early September and has not yet played a game for the Blackhawks.

He officially begins his conditioning stint today with the Norfolk Admirals. The Admirals host the Albany River Rats on Friday and Saturday. They will then travel to Bridgeport and Albany before playing a home-and-home series against Wilkes-Barre on January 19 and 20. They travel to Philadelphia to play the Phantoms on January 21. Lalime's conditioning period will end on January 24.
