The Blackhawks surged past the Minnesota Wild in the opening round of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs, outscoring their quarterfinal opponents 17-7 in five games. The series featured two dramatic overtime victories, one for each team, stellar goaltending from Corey Crawford and a shutdown penalty kill that did not allow a single goal.
