How have the Blackhawks been spending their offseason? chicagoblackhawks.com recently sat down with your favorite players to see how their summer has gone so far and discuss some of their aspirations for the 2012-23 NHL campaign.

What did you do this summer? Did you stay home or go on vacation?
I haven’t been on vacation, I’ve just been working out and getting in shape. I do a lot of fishing in the offseason, so that gets me neutralized from hockey life. I live on a river, so I enjoy fishing there because I know it pretty well. I also like to go out to different waters and different lakes to test my knowledge.

Did you keep in touch with or hang out with any teammates?
About five or six guys came to my golf tournament a couple weeks ago: Crawford, Shaw, Montador, Carcillo. I like to keep in touch with them to see how they’re doing over the summer.

Have you hit the ice yet this summer? Are you trying to work on any particular skills or parts of your game?
I’m just trying to get stronger and get in good shape. I haven’t skated that much yet; it’s coming up in the next few weeks and in August, so I’m just trying to get into top shape.

What’s your personal goal for next season?
My personal goal is to score 20 goals.
