Blackhawks Trade Parenteau For Conditional Pick

Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have obtained a conditional draft choice in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft from the New York Rangers in exchange for left wing Pierre Parenteau.

Parenteau, 24, was playing with the Blackhawks AHL affiliate in Rockford and played five games with the Blackhawks during the 2006-07 season, earning one assist.

Parenteau was originally acquired by the Blackhawks on December 28, 2006 from the Anaheim Ducks along with Bruno St. Jacques in exchange for Matt Keith, Sebastien Caron and Chris Durno.
