The Chicago Blackhawks will launch the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the team’s seventh consecutive appearance in the postseason, when they face the Nashville Predators in the best-of-seven First Round series beginning with Game 1 at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. and Game 2 on Friday, April 17, at 8:30 p.m.
Games 3 and 4 will be held at the United Center on Sunday, April 19, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday, April 21, at 8:30 p.m. If necessary, the Predators will host Game 5 on Thursday, April 23, the Blackhawks will host Game 6 on Saturday, April 25, and Nashville will host Game 7 on Monday, April 27 (times TBD). All times listed are Central.
The Blackhawks finished the 2014-15 regular season with a 48-28-6 record (102 points) and earned the third seed in the NHL’s Central Division. For the first time since 1991-97, Chicago has reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs for seven consecutive seasons.
Chicago posted a 3-1-0 record against Nashville during the regular season, including wins in each of the last two meetings between the clubs. This marks the second Stanley Cup Playoff matchup between Chicago and Nashville; the Blackhawks won their 2010 Western Conference Quarterfinal series 4-2.
