Blackhawks To Hold Open Practice At UC

The Chicago Blackhawks will open training camp on Sept. 14 and hold an open practice for the public free of charge Saturday, Sept. 16 at the United Center. Gates will open to the public at 9:00 am.

The Blackhawks' practice will consist of three session times and three different teams:

· Team B, Black - 9:30 am. Includes Martin Havlat, Bryan Smolinski, Cam Barker and Brent Seabrook.

· Team C, White - 10:45 am. Includes Martin Lapointe, Tony Salmelainen, Rene Bourque and Dave Bolland.

· Team A, Red - 12:00 pm. Includes Michal Handzus, Michael Blunden, Duncan Keith and Adrian Aucoin.

· Goaltenders Nikolai Khabibulin, Corey Crawford, Patrick Lalime, Sebastien Caron and Tom Lawson will rotate amongst teams.

In addition, head coach Trent Yawney will be equipped with a microphone to allow fans to hear his instructions during various drills.

Parking for fans is located at Lot K on the south side of the United Center and is free of charge. Fans will be able to enter the United Center at Gate 6. Sections 109 through 114 will be available as open seating for practice.

Blackhawks ticket representatives will be attendance to answer any questions fans may have concerning various ticket packages and seat locations.
