Blackhawks recall Svedberg

The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have recalled defenseman Viktor Svedberg from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Svedberg, 24, has scored two goals and recorded two assists in 19 games with Chicago this season. The Gothenburg, Sweden native made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks on Oct. 9 at the New York Islanders. He has scored 15 points (1G, 14A) in 40 games this season with Rockford. He was originally signed as a free agent on Oct. 19, 2013 and has played in 124 career games with Rockford tallying 38 total points (6G, 32A).

The Blackhawks will face off against the Calgary Flames on Saturday at 9:00 p.m. CT in Calgary. The game can be seen on WGN-TV and heard on WGN Radio.
