The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled goaltender Scott Darling from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. Darling will wear number 33 for the Blackhawks.

Darling, 25, has appeared in two games this season with Rockford, posting a 2-0-0 record with a 1.44 goals-against average and .948 save percentage. He also appeared in two preseason contests with Chicago, stopping all 27 shots on goal en route to two wins in 91 minutes of action.

The Lemont, Ill., native has never appeared in a regular-season NHL game, but boasts a 15-6-2 record in 29 career AHL games with a 1.89 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage.

Darling signed as a free agent with the Blackhawks on July 1, 2014. He was originally selected by the Arizona Coyotes in the sixth round, 153rd overall, of the 2007 NHL Draft.

The Blackhawks return to action tonight when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at the United Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT and the game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet or heard on WGN Radio AM-720 (also simulcast on 87.7FM The Game).
