The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled left wing Bryan Bickell from the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.
Bickell, 23, has recorded two points (G, A) and a +4 plus/minus rating in 12 games with the Blackhawks this season. Overall, the Bowmanville, Ontario, native has notched three goals and four points in 19 career regular-season games with the Blackhawks over parts of three seasons (2006-07; 2007-08 and 2009-10).
Bickell is tied for fourth on Rockford with 11 goals and has collected 21 points and 54 penalty minutes in 44 AHL tilts this season. Chicago’s third choice, 41st overall, in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Bickell has appeared in 207 career AHL regular-season contests with the Norfolk Admirals (2006-07) and IceHogs (2007-09) since turning pro in 2006, registering 46 goals, 53 assists, 99 points and 232 penalty minutes.
