In conjunction with Ogilvy & Mather, the Chicago Blackhawks have released TV spots to support their “One Goal” marketing campaign.
“Our mission with the ‘One Goal’ campaign is to showcase the personalities of our players while stating the overall goal of the Blackhawks organization,” said Jay Blunk, Blackhawks Senior Vice President of Business Operations. “These spots capture the new spirit of the Blackhawks and highlight our interesting and diverse personalities.”
The spots begin airing tonight on Comcast SportsNet during the Chicago White Sox game (7:10 P.M. start). The spots will also run during the Chicago Cubs games this weekend. The campaign idea currently extends beyond TV to print, radio and Internet.
The campaign will feature Blackhawks President John McDonough and Blackhawks players Adam Burish, Brian Campbell, Christobal Huet, Patrick Kane, Patrick Sharp and team captain Jonathan Toews.
The TV campaign is meant to capture the individual skills and spirit of each player, as they skate up to a microphone and state their goals for the year.
The spots take place in a dark ice arena with only a classic microphone on a stand under a spotlight. A figure approaches out of the darkness, skates up to the microphone and states their ‘One Goal’ for the season.
The Blackhawks and Ogilvy & Mather’s ‘One Goal’ for this campaign was to put a human face on each Blackhawks player.
