The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have assigned forward Jeremy Morin to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League for a conditioning assignment.
Morin, 23, has recorded 28 shots on goal in 15 games with Chicago this season; he has posted 16 points (8G, 8A) in 54 career regular-season games across four seasons (2010-14) with the Blackhawks and added two shots on goal in as many 2014 Stanley Cup Playoff games. The Auburn, N.Y., native has registered 157 points (80G, 77A) in 205 career AHL games from 2010-14 with the IceHogs.
The Blackhawks return to action tonight when they face off against the New Jersey Devils at 6 p.m. CT. The game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet and heard on WGN Radio AM-720.
