Blackhawks announce 2016-17 national television schedule
by Chicago Blackhawks / Chicago BlackhawksIn conjunction with the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks today announced their 2016-17 regular-season national television schedule. Nationally, the Blackhawks will appear exclusively on NBC (including NBC and NBCSN) 11 times, the maximum allowed per the league’s national television agreement. Additionally, the Blackhawks will appear in ten non-exclusive nationally televised games, totaling a league-high 21 national appearances.
The Blackhawks’ first nationally televised game is scheduled for the season-opener on Wednesday, Oct. 12 when they host the St. Louis Blues at 7 p.m. on NBCSN. Additionally, the game time for the Nov. 23 game at San Jose changed to 9 p.m. CT.
The full schedule of nationally televised games for the 2016-17 season is below. The local television schedule, including the preseason broadcast schedule, will be announced at a later date in conjunction with the Blackhawks’ exclusive rightsholders, Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV.
