The Chicago Blackhawks today announced the schedule for their 2013 Youth Hockey Camps. The three camps will be conducted at three different locations in July and August, under the direction of Head Instructor Eddie Olczyk, and Guest Instructors Denis Savard and Troy Murray. Registrations are now being accepted.
Camps open to all boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12 will be held from July 8-12 at West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows, July 15-19 at Johnny’s Ice House West in Chicago, and July 29-August 2 at Rocket Ice Arena in Bolingbrook.
A portion of the proceeds from the camps will go to fund the ‘Eddie Olczyk Award’ grants, created to support and offset the financial burden of young hockey players and teams in Illinois that may not have the means to play at a competitive level.
Each Chicago Blackhawks Youth Hockey Camp features on-ice sessions that focus on individual skill development as well as positional and team play through combination drills, stations and controlled scrimmages. Attendees are also guided through daily off-ice training sessions and all campers receive a jersey.
