Blackhawks announce 2011 preseason broadcast schedule

In conjunction with official broadcasting partners Comcast SportsNet, WGN-TV Channel 9, and WGN Radio 720, the Chicago Blackhawks announced the 2011 preseason broadcast schedule. The 2011 slate includes televising four of the club’s seven preseason games, equaling the most in franchise history, as well as three games on WGN Radio.



WGN Channel 9 will carry Chicago’s September 25 game at Detroit and October 2 preseason finale at the Washington Capitals (6:00 P.M.). Comcast SportsNet Chicago will broadcast the team’s September 28 matchup against Detroit (7:30 P.M.) and September 30 tilt against the Pittsburgh Penguins (7:30 P.M.). All times listed are Central.

The radio home for Blackhawks hockey, WGN Radio 720, will air the Blackhawks’ September 22 preseason home opener versus Pittsburgh (6:00 P.M.) and the final two preseason contests on September 30 and October 2.

Please note that the start time for the Blackhawks preseason opener (Sept. 20 vs. EDM) has been changed to 8:00 P.M. from 6:00 P.M., and the Sept. 25 game at Detroit has been changed to 4:00 P.M. from the previously announced 3:00 P.M.
