The Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks will open their 2010 training camp at the United Center on Saturday, September 18. The club will open camp with 34 forwards, 17 defensemen, and six goaltenders on the roster.
The sold-out 2010 Blackhawks Training Camp Festival will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, Sept. 18. The marquee event of the third annual Festival will allow a standing-room only crowd inside the United Center to watch the Blackhawks first day of on-ice training camp practices and scrimmages.
Chicago opens preseason play on Wednesday, September 22 when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Blackhawks will broadcast a franchise-record four preseason games on television broadcast rightsholders Comcast SportsNet Chicago (Sept. 22 and Sept. 24) and WGN-TV Channel 9 (Sept. 25 and Oct. 3). Additionally two preseason tilts will be broadcast on Chicago’s WGN Radio 720 (Sept. 25 and Oct. 3).
