Beach Acquired By WHL's Spokane Chiefs

Blackhawks 2008 first-round draft pick Kyle Beach was traded to the Western Hockey League's Spokane Chiefs Wednesday from the Lethbridge Hurricanes for defensemen Mike Reddington and Landon Oslanski, the Tri-City Herald reports.

Beach played the 2008-09 season with Lethbridge, who acquired him at the trade deadline last season from the Everett Silvertips where he spent the previous three seasons.

During the 2008-09 campaign, Beach racked up 24 goals, 39 assists and 165 penalty minutes between Lethbridge and Everett. In the past four seasons, has recorded 187 points (82 goals, 105 assists) and 602 penalty minutes in 183 games.

Beach played two games with the Blackhawks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, during the 2008-09 season, as well.
