Quebec Pee Wee Qualifier at Pepsi Center

The Colorado Avalanche will host the quarterfinal, semifinal and championship games of the 2008 Colorado Avalanche Quebec Qualifier Tournament at Pepsi Center on October 26th and 27th. The winning team of the highly competitive tournament will be designated the Colorado Avalanche Pee Wee team for the 2008-09 Season. The team will receive the opportunity to represent the Avalanche in the 50th Quebec International Pee Wee Tournament in February 2009.


The Quebec International Pee Wee Hockey Tournament is known as the largest and most prestigious Pee Wee tournament in the world. It hosts 110 teams of 11-12 year-old hockey players from over 14 countries each year.

The Quebec Qualifier Tournament will begin play at Westminster Promenade Ice Center, October 24th and 25th, to determine quarterfinalist teams.  This year’s tournament is set to be especially competitive with all the teams vying for a chance to take part in the historic 50th anniversary of the Quebec tournament. Teams set to participate are:

-Arapahoe Warriors
-Arvada Storm
-Boulder Bison
-Colorado Hockey Club Rampage
-Colorado Springs Jr. Tigers
-Denver University Jr. Pioneers
-Foothills Flyers
-Front Range Panthers
-Hyland Hills Jaguars
-Littleton Hawks
-Northern Colorado Jr. Eagles
