MATCHUP 9: # 3 Wojtek Wolski vs. #30 Cody McLeod
A goal by the former Avalanche winger goes up against a nice one-timer by Cody McLeod.

Wolski Walks Around Flames – 10/28 @ Calgary (62.54% in Week 4)
With the Avs and Flames tied in the third period, Wojtek Wolski pulled out some late-game heroics. After taking a drop pass from Paul Stastny just inside the blue line, Wolski split two defenders and walked into the slot before firing the game-winner past Miikka Kiprusoff.

McLeod’s One-Timer – 11/17 @ Calgary (36.88% in Week 7)
With Calgary making a line change, Avalanche defenseman Ryan Wilson threw a pass from his own end all the way down to Paul Stastny at the opposite blue line. After gaining the offensive zone, Stastny fed a pass into the middle, where a cutting Cody McLeod one-timed it past Miikka Kiprusoff.

MATCHUP 10: #14 T.J. Galiardi vs. #19 Ryan Wilson
A late tally by Galiardi against the Los Angeles Kings squares off with Wilson's first career NHL goal.

Galiardi Gets Another – 3/22 @ Los Angeles (45.28% in Week 23)
T.J. Galiardi is quickly gaining a reputation for scoring clutch goals during his first full NHL season. In this instance, the rookie helped the Avs gain a critical point by scoring with 10 seconds remaining in regulation. After Paul Stastny put a brilliant move on Kings defenseman Rob Scuderi and threw a shot on goal, Galiardi swooped in and cleaned up the rebound to tie the game, 3-3.

Wilson’s First Goal – 11/17 @ Calgary (40.63% in Week 7)
Following a nice display of cycling behind the Calgary net and a scramble just outside Miikka Kiprusoff’s crease, defenseman Ryan Wilson spotted a loose puck, pinched in and threw a backhander into the net for his first career NHL goal.

MATCHUP 11: #11 Chris Stewart vs. #22 Kyle Quincey
Stewart's penalty-shot goal that completed his hat trick against St. Louis faces off with Kyle Quincey's huge hit on Steven Stamkos.

Stewart Completes Hat Trick – 3/6 vs. St. Louis (46.35% in Week 21)
With two goals already in the game, Chris Stewart was awarded a penalty shot after being tripped up by Blues defenseman Erik Johnson on a breakaway. On his penalty shot attempt, Stewart slowly made his way toward the crease and beat St. Louis goalie Ty Conklin to his glove side to complete his first career hat trick.

Quincey Flips Stamkos – 11/30 @ Tampa Bay (39.76% in Week 9)
Defenseman Kyle Quincey sent Lightning forward Steven Stamkos flying end-over-end into his own bench with this hip check. As if the hit itself wasn’t big enough, the Lightning also received a penalty for too many men on the ice because Stamkos jumped back into the play even though a teammate had already hopped on to replace him.

MATCHUP 12: #6 Matt Duchene vs. #27 Wojtek Wolski
Duchene's shootout goal that officially clinched a playoff berth for the Avalanche battles a tic-tac-toe passing play converted by Wolski.

Playoff Bound – 4/6 @ Vancouver (57.32% in Week 25)
The stakes were simple when Matt Duchene picked up the puck at center ice and headed toward Vancouver netminder Roberto Luongo in the shootout. If the rookie scored, the Avs were headed to the playoffs. Duchene did just that, beating Luongo stick side to give Colorado its 12th playoff berth during its 14 years in Denver.

Wolski Finishes Tic-Tac-Toe Play – Oct. 3 vs. Vancouver (35.45% in Week 1)
Wojtek Wolski scored for the third time of the year on this play, which turned out to be the eventual game-winning goal in Colorado’s 3-0 victory over Vancouver. Wolski, Milan Hejduk and Paul Stastny worked a bit of magic to set up the play, with the passing sequence actually going Hejduk-Wolski-Stastny-Hejduk-Stastny-Wolski.
