The 2008 NHL Entry Draft is set for Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21, at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. The first round, held on Friday, will be televised on VERSUS, with coverage beginning at 5:00 p.m. MT.
Rounds Two through Seven will take place on Saturday, with coverage on the NHL Network beginning at 7:30 a.m. MT. The Avalanche is set to make its first selection in the second round (50th overall).
There are several ways for Avalanche fans to follow this year’s Entry Draft, with ColoradoAvalanche.com being your source for everything Avs related. Starting Friday at 3:55 p.m., ColoradoAvalanche.com will stream (via the NHL network) a video feed of the NHL’s Draft Preview. During the first round, the site will provide a live audio feed of the NHL XM Draft Radio Show before switching back to the NHL Draft Recap video feed (courtesy of the NHL Network) at the conclusion of the opening round.
On Saturday, fans can again follow the action on ColoradoAvalanche.com via a video feed from the NHL Network.
With each Avalanche pick in the 2008 Entry Draft, ColoradoAvalanche.com will update its draft board and provide fans with bios and profiles on its newest prospects.
