The Philadelphia Flyers haven’t made a trip to Denver since Dec. 27, 2003. That will change on Friday night, as the Avalanche will host Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. A limited number of tickets
are still available for the contest.
Colorado and Philadelphia did not play last year and thus are facing off for the first time since Jan. 14, 2006 at the Wachovia Center, which resulted in a 4-3 overtime victory for the Avalanche.
Through Wednesday’s games, Philadelphia sits in a three-way tie for first place in the Atlantic Division with a 15-9-2 record (32 points). The Flyers are led offensively by assistant captain Mike Richards (14g/17a) and free agent signing Daniel Briere (12g/18a).
