The votes were tallied and you, the fans, selected Peter Budaj's save on Vancouver forward Henrik Sedin as the Avs’ “Play of the Week” for the period of Nov. 7-13. Budaj's save received 62.96% of the voting, beating out his own stop on Nashville's Vernon Fiddler (7.26%) and Marek Svatos' game-winning shootout tally against the Canucks (29.77%).
The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans.
Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.
Budaj Robs H. Sedin - 11/12 at Vancouver The Sedin twins teamed up in an attempt to foil Budaj, but the goaltender was up to the task. Daniel made a feed to an open Henrik, who was stationed to Budaj’s left with a seemingly open net. Budaj quickly moved side-to-side and robbed the Canucks of a goal by getting a glove on Henrik’s attempt.
