BUFFALO, N.Y.--The Colorado Avalanche selected left wing Travis Barron with the 191st overall selection in the seventh round of the NHL Draft on Saturday at First Niagara Center.
Barron recorded 37 points (13 goals, 24 assists) in 60 games with the Ottawa 67's of the Ontario Hockey League last season. In the postseason, he posted six points (two goals and four assists) in five games.
A native of Brampton, Ontario, Barron played for Ontario White at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge last year, registering two points (goal and an assist) in five games.
