Jones’ Second Shorty – 11/6 vs. Chicago
David Jones’ second short-handed goal of the season gave the Avs a big lift in their 4-3 shootout win over Chicago. Collecting the puck inside the Avalanche’s defensive zone, Jones raced up the left wing and held off Chicago’s Dustin Byfuglien before chipping a backhander past Antti Niemi.

Stewy’s Shootout Winner – 11/6 vs. Chicago
Chris Stewart received the nod in the eighth round of the Avalanche’s shootout against the Blackhawks and didn’t fail to deliver. Taking the puck wide to the right, Stewart beat goalie Antti Niemi with a wrist shot far side. After a failed Dustin Byfuglien attempt on Craig Anderson, Stewart’s goal stood up as the shootout winner.

Anderson On Versteeg – 11/11 @ Chicago
With the Avalanche and Blackhawks tied, 1-1, in the second period, Anderson made a big stop on Chicago forward Kris Versteeg. Versteeg, situated in the left faceoff circle, one-timed a pass from Patrick Kane, but Anderson was able to move left-to-right quick enough to keep the puck out of the net.
