Yip’s Wraparound – 1/24 vs. St. Louis
Brandon Yip scored his second goal of night against St. Louis while the Avs were on a power play. Yip put a shot on goal from the low right circle that was stopped by Jaroslav Halak, but the winger grabbed the rebound, circled around the net and scored on a quick wraparound with 2:54 remaining in the middle frame.

Shattenkirk’s Shot – 1/24 vs. St. Louis
The Avs and Blues were tied, 2-2, when Kevin Shattenkirk displayed his patience and sharp wrist shot to give Colorado the lead. Just past the midway point of the third period, the rookie took a pass from John-Michael Liles near the goal line extended, skated into the left circle and waited for blues defenseman Alex Pietrangleo to slide by before utilizing a Ryan Stoa screen to beat Jaroslav Halak with a wrister.

Duchene’s Cutback Move – 1/26 vs. Phoenix
Matt Duchene cut the Coyotes’ lead to two goals with this tally late in the third period. The second-year center caught up to the puck just inside the blue line, moved it from his backhand  to his forehand (crossing up Phoenix forward Eric Belanger in the process) and put a quick snap shot past Ilya Bryzgalov.
