Let your voice be heard in selecting Colorado’s “Play of the Week” each week during the season.
A pair of goals from Wojtek Wolski and a big stop by Andrew Raycroft are this week's nominees.
We’ve offered up three choices, and now it's your turn to choose the top play by voting on the poll below or on the homepage of ColoradoAvalanche.com. At the end of the season, a bracket-style tournament will be held to determine – once again, through fan voting – the Avalanche’s “Play of the Year”.
Check out this week’s three nominees, and be sure to vote for your favorite by Monday at 12:00 p.m. MT.
Hejduk Sets Up Wolski - 1/6 at Nashville Milan Hejduk, skating down the left side, passed the puck to Wojtek Wolski who was skating low through the slot. Wolski's backhander beat Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne above his shoulder at 15:47 of the second period for the eventual game-winning goal.
Raycroft Stones Sharp - 1/8 vs. Chicago Andrew Raycroft’s stop on Patrick Sharp during the second period of Colorado’s 2-1 win may have been the best of his career-high 43-save performance. Chicago’s Dustin Byfuglien circled behind the net before tossing a pass out front to an open Sharp. Raycroft quickly moved back into position and made a big stop with his left pad to keep the game tied 1-1.
Wolski Puts It Home - 1/8 vs. Chicago Andrew Raycroft sent a pass to Ryan Smyth at the Blackhawks' blue line, who skated in on Nikolai Khabibulin. The goalie stopped Smyth's shot, followed by a rebound chance from Milan Hejduk, only to have Wojtek Wolski knock it in for his third goal in two games.
