Yip Keeps It – 4/8 vs. Dallas
Brandon Yip got Colorado on the scoreboard against Dallas with the first of his two goals on the evening. Philippe Dupuis got things rolling by making a nice defensive play on Stars forward Mike Richards, which led to Yip and Ryan Wilson heading in the opposite direction on a 2-on-1 rush. Yip elected to keep the puck himself and fired a wrister past netminder Kari Lehtonen.

Holos Hits Langenbrunner – 4/8 vs. Dallas
Rookie defenseman Jonas Holos showed his physical side against the Stars, laying a big hit on Jamie Langenbrunner. Late in the third period, Langenbrunner caught up with a cross-ice pass from Toby Petersen at the blue line and chipped it into Colorado’s defensive zone. However, the veteran forward was met by Holos, who knocked him off his skates with a hit along the boards.

Jones Caps Things Off – 4/10 vs. Edmonton
David Jones closed out the Avalanche’s season and sent captain Adam Foote out as a winner when he netted an overtime goal against Edmonton. Jones went to his backhand to knock home the rebound of a Matt Duchene shot, setting a new franchise record in the process with his third OT tally of the season.
