Liles Tips Home Winner – 4/4 vs. San Jose
Defenseman John-Michael Liles helped the Avs inch closer to a playoff berth by scoring the overtime winner against San Jose. Fellow blueliner Ryan Wilson controlled the puck at the right point and sent a shot-pass into the low slot. Liles had circled into that exact area, and tipped the puck into the back of the San Jose net.

Playoff Bound – 4/6 @ Vancouver
The stakes were simple when Matt Duchene picked up at the puck at center ice and headed toward Vancouver netminder Roberto Luongo in the shootout. If the rookie scored, the Avs were headed to the playoffs. Duchene did just that, beating Luongo stick side to give Colorado its 12th playoff berth during its 14 years in Denver.

Tucker Behind The Back – 4/7 @ Edmonton
Darcy Tucker set up a Marek Svatos goal to give the Avalanche a 3-0 lead over the Oilers. Kyle Quincey wrapped a pass along the boards, where Tucker picked it up behind the net. Drawing two defenders, the veteran forward made a behind-the-back pass to Svatos in front of the net for the goal.
