The 2007 Colorado Avalanche Pee Wee team will participate in the 48th Annual Quebec International Hockey Tournament held in Quebec City from February 8 - 18, 2007.Each year the tournament hosts 110 teams from 14 countries; and is known world-wide as one of the largest and most prestigious Pee Wee hockey tournaments.The tournament has hosted players that developed into NHL stars including Joe Sakic, Patrick Roy, Mario Lemieux, and Wayne Gretzky.

This year's the representatives, the Arvada Hockey Association Pee Wee AA coached by John McKibbon, earned this unique opportunity by winning the Colorado Avalanche Quebec Qualifier Tournament in November 2006.The qualifying tournament hosted 11 Pee Wee AA teams from the Colorado Competitive Youth Hockey League.

For the trip the Avalanche Pee Wee team will be equipped in full Avalanche uniforms, stay with Canadian families through a billeting process, and learn Quebec and tournament history.This tournament provides exceptional athletic, educational, and cultural experiences.The team is guaranteed two tournament games, but will play in several exhibition games against other NHL Pee Wee teams as well as teams from other countries.The team opens competition against Connecticut Wolves on February 9, 2007.
