Altitude announced today it will broadcast 79 of the Colorado Avalanche’s regular season games on the network during the 2013-2014 NHL season. Game coverage begins Wednesday, October 2, 2013 as the Colorado Avalanche hosts the Anaheim Ducks. All Avalanche games will feature the Avalanche Face-Off pre-game show 30 minutes before the game, as well as the Avalanche Locker Room Report immediately following the game.
A highlight of the 2013-2014 Avalanche season will be the jersey retirement of former Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote. Foote’s number 52 jersey will be raised on November 2, 2013 at Pepsi Center prior to the Avalanche game vs. the Montreal Canadiens. Foote’s sweater will be the fifth number retired in the 18-year history of the Colorado Avalanche.
Mike Haynes and Peter McNab will return as the play-by-play and color analyst, respectively, for all of the Colorado Avalanche broadcasts. Kyle Keefe will return as a studio anchor and will co-host the pre-game show while on the road. Julie Browman will host the pre-game show for all home games and share reporting duties as well. Todd Romero will also join the team as studio anchor for selected games and will share reporting duties. Brian Engblom and Mark Rycroft will share studio analyst duties.
Altitude will utilize its second channel, ALT2, for nine Avalanche games this season, all of which are denoted on the schedule below. A complete list of channel numbers can be found on our website at www.altitude.tv.
Avalanche fans can tune in for the debut of Altitude’s weekly show, Avalanche All Access: Season Preview Edition, on October 3rd at 5:30 PM. Following its debut, the series will continue to air every Thursday at 5:30 PM. This thirty-minute program gives behind the scenes coverage of the Colorado Avalanche and provides highlights of the team on the ice and in the community. This series is co-hosted by Kyle Keefe and Julie Browman with reports from the rest of the Altitude talent team. Additionally, web exclusive content will be available on Altitude’s website throughout the season.
On the radio side, Marc Moser is back as the voice of the Avalanche with Mark Bertagnolli once again handling studio hosting and production duties.
