The 12th annual Colorado Avalanche Charity Golf Tournament, presented by ADT Security Systems, was held Monday at The Ridge at Castle Pines North. The tournament went over the $900,000 mark for total money raised with Monday's sold-out event bringing in over $102,000.
“Today’s event has always been very popular and is a great springboard for our charitable programs heading into the beginning of the Avalanche season,” said Deb Dowling-Canino, Vice President of Community Relations for Kroenke Sports Enterprises. “We are extremely proud of our efforts in the community and are thankful for the involvement of the Avalanche players and coaches who help make every event a success.”
Since the team’s arrival in 1995, the Colorado Avalanche Charity Fund has made donations in excess of $11.5 million to local charities that promote the health and welfare of children and families throughout Colorado. The Colorado Avalanche Charity Fund, part of the Kroenke Sports Charity Group was recognized nationally in 2001 for its philanthropic endeavors.
