The Colorado Avalanche and Altitude Sports & Entertainment are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Colorado's first Stanley Cup championship with a television doubleheader this Saturday.
10 years ago Saturday (June 10, 1996), the Colorado Avalanche concluded a magical first season in Denver by beating the Florida Panthers in triple overtime in Game Four to win the franchise's first Stanley Cup.
Starting at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, Altitude will televise "Colorado Avalanche: Landslide: 1996 Stanley Cup Season." That one-hour special will be followed a replay of the decisive Game Four cliffhanger in Miami.
Altitude also will revisit the 2000-2001 Stanley Cup championship season later this month by re-broadcasting the Avs' Game Seven Cup-clinching victory against the New Jersey Devils.
Tune in to Altitude all month long and relive two of the greatest seasons in Avalanche history.
