Craig Anderson earned Avalanche "Play of the Week" honors with a heroic late-game performance against the Dallas Stars.
Anderson's flurry of saves finished with 52.35% of the voting, topping a Peter Mueller blast from the point (26.85%) and a T.J. Galiardi feed to Paul Stastny (20.80%), both of which came against the St. Louis Blues.
The play now automatically qualifies for Colorado’s year-end “Play of the Year” bracket-style tournament – to be determined by Avalanche fans. Be sure to check back each Friday during the season, as three new choices for the Avalanche’s “Play of the Week” will be posted for you to vote upon.
Anderson’s Late Stand – 3/14 @ Dallas With Colorado up on Dallas by a 5-3 score late in the game and the Stars on a power play, Craig Anderson came up with a succession of stops – including a defiant glove save at the end – to help preserve the Avalanche victory.
