Walter Jackson loaned to London (IHL) as compensation for breaking Getliffe loan agreement, December 31, 1935. Traded to Montreal by Boston with Charlie Sands for Herb Cain, October 10, 1939. Traded to Detroit by Montreal with Roly Rossignol for Billy Reay, September 11, 1945. Detroit received Fern Gauthier as compensation when Getliffe decided to retire, October 18, 1945.
Life's about opportunity and how you respond to that opportunity, and obviously he must have some swagger about him, some confidence about him, because he was solid. He made some good saves. He was 6-foot-3 on every shot, which is a good thing for a goalie. He played well. We got a win.
