At the Rink: Blackhawks at Penguins

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Trevor Daley and Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Rob Scuderi will each face his former team at Consol Energy Center on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; SN1, SNO, SNP, CSN-CH, ROOT) for the first time since being traded less than a month ago.

Daley was traded to Pittsburgh on Dec. 14 for Scuderi midway through the Penguins' 4-1 loss to the Washington Capitals, which was Mike Sullivan's first game as Pittsburgh coach. Scuderi was expected to play against Washington, but was a late healthy scratch prior to his departure.

"We came in off the ice and [Scuderi] was nowhere to be found," Penguins defenseman Ben Lovejoy said. "I went and looked for him in the dressing room and he was getting changed, and he told us he had been traded. I gave him and big hug and said, 'Good luck.'"

After failing to score a goal in his 29 games with the Blackhawks, Daley scored in his second game with the Penguins against the Boston Bruins on Dec. 18. He scored a point in three of his first four games with Pittsburgh, but has been held without one in each of his past five, primarily playing alongside defenseman Ian Cole.

DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Jan. 5

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Evgeny Kuznetsov, C, Washington Capitals

DraftKings price: $5,800

Kuznetsov has 12 goals in 38 games this season which tops his previous high of 11 in 80 games in 2014-15. The second-line center has a bright future ahead of him and his price in DraftKings will likely rise along with his increased offensive output. But, for now, owners can cash in on the incredible value Kuznetsov offers when the Capitals visit the Boston Bruins on Tuesday. The 23-year-old Russian has seven points (three goals, four assists) in the past seven games and four points (one goal, three assists), five blocked shots and eight shots on goal in five career games against Boston.

Coach's Challenge: ARI @ VAN - 4:35 of the Third Period

At 4:35 of the third period in the Coyotes/Canucks game, Vancouver requested a Coach’s Challenge to review whether Arizona was off-side prior to their goal.

After reviewing all available replays and consulting with NHL Hockey Operations staff, the Linesman determined that Arizona’s Max Domi was off-side prior to the goal. According to Rule 78.7, “The standard for overturning the call in the event of a ‘GOAL’ call on the ice is that the Linesman, after reviewing any and all available replays and consulting with the Toronto Video Room, determines that one or more Players on the attacking team preceded the puck into the attacking zone prior to the goal being scored and that, as a result, the play should have been stopped for an “Off-side” infraction; where this standard is met, the goal will be disallowed.”

Therefore the original call is overturned – no goal Arizona Coyotes.

At the Rink: Coyotes at Canucks

VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Canucks realize they need an improved power play to continue a push for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. But ending a nine-game drought Monday against the Arizona Coyotes (10 p.m. ET; FS-A, SNP) will be harder with the Coyotes getting center Boyd Gordon back from injury.

The Canucks are 0-for-20 on the power play since Dec. 13. They’ve gone 4-1-1 in the past six games despite the slump. But with opposing defenses tightening as the season goes on, captain Henrik Sedin said it can't continue.

"We've been fortunate to play pretty good 5-on-5 and winning games that way," he said. "But if our power play gets going too I think we'll be more successful."

At the Rink: Hurricanes at Oilers

EDMONTON -- Goaltender Cam Talbot will make his fourth consecutive start and sixth in the past seven games for the Edmonton Oilers, who host the Carolina Hurricanes (9 p.m., ET; FS-CR, SNW) at Rexall Place on Monday.

Talbot has regained the No. 1 role for Edmonton (16-21-3) after backing up Anders Nilsson earlier in the season. Talbot had one start in 12 games from Nov. 18–Dec. 11.

"Cam has played really well going all the way back to the Boston (Bruins) game where he entered and saved our bacon that night (in a 3-2 overtime win)," Oilers coach Todd McLellan said. "He's played very well, he'll get another opportunity to do that again tonight. He's confident, the team is confident when he's playing and it's a good marriage there."

At the Rink: Kings at Avalanche

DENVER -- Maybe the fourth time will be the charm for Jarome Iginla when the Colorado Avalanche play the Los Angeles Kings on Monday at Pepsi Center (9 p.m. ET; NBCSN).

The Avalanche right wing has gone three games without the goal he needs to become the 19th player in NHL history to score 600 in a career.

"[Iginla's] going to get his 600th when he does," Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog said. "We have to focus on winning hockey games. We have to go about this one as just another regular game. When he does get it, it's going to be real exciting for everybody to be a part of it, but as of right now we're focusing on winning hockey games."

At the Rink: Senators at Blues

ST. LOUIS -- Coach Dave Cameron is planning a makeover to his lineup when the Ottawa Senators face the St. Louis Blues on Monday (8 p.m. ET; RDS, TSN5, FS-MW).

Cameron didn't know what that lineup would look like as of early Monday afternoon other than goalie Andrew Hammond starting in place of Craig Anderson, but the Senators are looking for a spark after being shut out in back-to-back games, including 3-0 Sunday against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Ottawa has gone without a goal for 135:38.

"I told the coaches on the plane [Sunday] night to come in this morning with their line combinations, so I've got more numbers than a bingo problem sitting in front of me now. They're not finalized yet," Cameron said after the Senators optional morning skate.

At the Rink: Red Wings at Devils

NEWARK, N.J. -- Right wing Mike Cammalleri will miss his second straight game because of an upper-body injury when the New Jersey Devils play the Detroit Red Wings at Prudential Center on Monday (7 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, FS-D, MSG+).

Cammalleri, who did not practice Monday and is listed as day-to-day, missed his first game of the season Saturday, a 3-2 overtime win against the Dallas Stars.

Devils (20-14-5) coach John Hynes said Cammalleri was scheduled to see a doctor Monday to make certain the injury isn't serious.

Cammalleri has 14 goals and leads the Devils with 21 assists and 35 points in 38 games. He had two goals in a 3-0 win at the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday and then missed practice Friday because of a maintenance day.

"He's a significant guy in the lineup because he plays big minutes for us 5-on-5 and on the power play," Hynes said. "As a team you have to be able to fill up his minutes. It's not that you want to count on one person to do it; it's that we have to recognize the areas he will not be in the lineup and have some other guys in parts help us in his absence."
