Together we run! Join fellow Blueshirt fans and Rangers alumni on Sunday, November 11th for the third annual RangersTown 5K presented by Northwell Health at Flushing Meadows Park. All proceeds raised will be shared evenly between select beneficiaries, The Garden of Dreams Foundation and the Northwell Health Foundation.

Northwell Health will offer free flu shots at the event. Physical Therapists from Northwell Health will also be on-site to assist you with pre and post-race stretching.

Don't forget to wear your Rangers colors and show your Blueshirt Pride!

Registration

Registration is now closed. All proceeds for this event will be shared evenly between select beneficiaries, the Garden of Dreams Foundation and the Northwell Health Wellness Programs. Online registration ends on November 10th.

Registrants will receive a packet with the following:

  • RangersTown 5K T-shirt
  • NY Rangers drawstring bag
  • Racing bib with timing chip
  • Medal to finishing participants

Packet Pick-Up

Registrants can ONLY pick-up their racing packet the morning of the race, Sunday, November 11th from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM. There are no alternative ways to retrieve your packet. Race volunteers will be able to direct you to the Registration tent, where participants will be able to pick-up their packet and racing materials.

Race location: Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens, NY

Packet Pick-up: Registration tent at the foot of the Flushing Meadows Pedestrian Bridge as you enter Flushing Meadows Corona Park.

For registrants planning to drive to the event, please use the Southfield lot, shown in the picture below. Parking will be free of charge. Once you park your vehicle, head south on the Flushing Meadows pedestrian bridge and follow the signage into Flushing Meadows Corona Park

  • Directions by Car
    • From Queens:
      • Take the East bound Grand Central Parkway to exit 9E- Northern Boulevard/Citi Field exit.
      • ...OR Grand Central Parkway West to exit 9E Citi Field exit.
    • From Manhattan:
      • Take the Williamsburg Bridge to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278) East to the Long Island Expressway East to Exit 22E for College Point Boulevard, at the end of the exit ramp, make a left at the light onto College Point Boulevard. At the second light (near 59th Ave.) make a left to enter the park and access satellite Parking. Follow direction from NYPD upon entering the Park.
      • ...OR The Queens Midtown Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway (I-495) East to Exit 22E for College Point Boulevard, at the end of the exit ramp, make a left at the light onto College Point Boulevard. At the second light (near 59th Ave.) make a left to enter the park and access satellite Parking. Follow direction from NYPD upon entering the Park.
    • From Brooklyn (option #1):
      • Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278) East to the Long Island Expressway East to Exit 22B for the Grand Central Parkway West. Exit the Grand Central Parkway West at Exit 9E for Citi Field.
    • From Brooklyn (option #2):
      • Take the Jackie Robinson Parkway to the Van Wyck Expressway North. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway at Exit 12A. Continue straight on to College Point Blvd. Follow signs to Citi Field Parking.
    • From the Bronx:
      • Take the Cross Bronx Expressway to Whitestone Bridge to Whitestone Expressway to the Van Wyck Southbound to Exit at 12A, LIE WEST - Midtown Tunnel/Manhattan To College Point Boulevard.
      • ...Take the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge to the Grand Central Parkway exit 9E- Northern Blvd. / Citi Field exit.
    • From Staten Island:
      • Take the Staten Island Expressway East to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway North/East to the Long Island Expressway East to Exit 22E for College Point Boulevard, at the end of the exit ramp, make a left at the light onto College Point Boulevard. At the second light (near 59th Ave.) make a left to enter the park and access satellite Parking. Follow direction from NYPD upon entering the Park.
      • Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) West to Exit 22B - College Point Blvd. At the first light make a right on to College Point Blvd. Follow signs to Citi Field Parking.
    • From Northern New Jersey (option #1):
      • Take the George Washington Bridge to Harlem River Drive then to the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge. Follow "From Manhattan" directions above.
    • From Northern New Jersey (option #2):
      • Take the George Washington Bridge to the Cross Bronx Expressway, then to the Whitestone Bridge. Take the Whitestone Expressway South. Stay to the left and take the Van Wyck Expressway. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway South at Exit 12A - College Point Blvd. Follow signs to Citi Field Parking.
    • From Southern New Jersey:
      • Take the Goethals Bridge to the Staten Island Expressway East to the Verrazano Narrows Bridge to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278) East. Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278) East to the Long Island Expressway East to Exit 22B for the Grand Central Parkway West. Exit the Grand Central Parkway West at Exit 9P for Citi Field.
    • From Connecticut (option #1):
      • Take I-95 to the Whitestone Bridge to the Whitestone Expressway South. Stay to the left and take the Van Wyck Expressway. Exit the Van Wyck Expressway South at Exit 12A - College Point Blvd. Follow signs to Citi Field Parking.
    • From Connecticut (option #2):
      • Take I-95 to the Throgs Neck Bridge to I-295/Clearview Expressway South. Exit I-295/Clearview Expressway South at Exit 4 - Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) West. Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE/I-495) West to Exit 22B - College Point Blvd. At the first light, make a right on to College Point Blvd. Follow signs to Citi Field Parking.
    • From Westchester:
      • Take the Hutchinson River Parkway South to the Whitestone Bridge to Whitestone Expressway to exit 13D- Northern Boulevard/Citi Field

 

  • Directions by train from Penn Station
    • Direct LIRR service to Citi Field is available from Penn Station, Woodside, and all stations on the Port Washington Branch. Those traveling from Long Island or southern Queens on other branches can reach Citi Field by changing trains at Woodside, just a five-minute ride from the ballpark. Fans from N.Y.C. or New Jersey can board any Port Washington Branch train at Penn Station, which is just a quick 19 minutes away on the LIRR. The ballpark is just 17 minutes from Great Neck and 27 minutes from Port Washington.

  • Directions by train from NYC Subway
    • VIA 7 TRAIN:
      • Services Citi Field at the Mets/Willets Point Station and makes stops in Manhattan at Times Square, 5th Avenue and Grand Central Station.
    • VIA E, F, G, R, M TRAINS:
      • Connections to the 7 train can be made at the 74th Street-Broadway / Roosevelt Avenue stop in Jackson Heights.
    • VIA N or W TRAINS:
      • Transfer to the 7 train at Queensboro Plaza.

The route follows a 3.2 mile (5K) course with varying terrain around Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The race will start and finish in the Northeastern section of Flushing Meadows Corono Park. Route surfaces vary from pavement and grass, as you make your way past some of the iconic park scenery such as the Fountain of the Planets and the World's Fair Unisphere.

  • The Rangerstown 5K run is not compliant with ADA standards due to the various surfaces and nature of the course.
  • Two water stations will be available to runners along the course.
  • There will be a free bag check available but please limit the amount of personal items you bring - One bag checked per person
  • If you are travelling by car, please leave all personal items that will not be needed for the race in your vehicle.
  • Strollers are permitted in the spectator areas but are not permitted on the race course
  • Festival area to include New York Rangers activities for all ages
  • Restrooms will be available on-site for registrants and guests
  • Snacks and water will be available for registrants

The standard no refunds, no deferrals, and no transfers policy applies

A portion of all net proceeds will benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation, a nonprofit organization that is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
