TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Kole Lind to a professional tryout agreement (PTO), vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today.
Lind, 27, skated in 70 games with the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League last season, recording 11 goals and 35 points with 95 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward has appeared in 454 career AHL contests between the Stars, Coachella Valley Firebirds, Charlotte Checkers and Utica Comets, registering 122 goals and 319 points with 42 power-play goals and 25 game-winners. He has also played in 63 career Calder Cup Playoff games, logging 24 goals and 59 points with eight power-play tallies.
A native of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, Lind has appeared in 31 career NHL contests between the Vancouver Canucks and Seattle Kraken, recording two goals and eight points with 12 penalty minutes.
Lind was originally drafted by the Canucks in the second round, 33rd overall, of the 2017 NHL Draft.
