Ilya Kovalchuk sat down with Greg Wyshynski to talk about his decision to return to the NHL this season after five years abroad in a recent piece for ESPN.

Kovalchuk reflects on his time in Russia, where he accomplished everything he hoped to, which included an Olympic Gold Medal and quality time spent in his home country.

He's now ready to take on the NHL, and is up to the challenge of keeping up with the younger players in a faster game. In his words, he still has some gas left in the tank.

Lubomir Visnovsky, Sean O'Donnell and Willie O'Ree will be recognized in the annual Legends Night Series

Two former long-time LA Kings and NHL defensemen, Lubomir Visnovsky and Sean O'Donnell, along with Willie O'Ree, a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame's Class of 2018, will be honored at STAPLES Center this season as part of the Legends Night Series presented by McDonald's.

Assigned to Junior Teams:

Aidan Dudas - F (Owen Sound, OHL)

The 5-7, 164-pounder 18-year-old recorded 65 points (31-34=65), a plus-1 rating and 12 penalty minutes in 68 regular season games with the OHL's Owen Sound Attack this past season. His 31 goals tied for second on the team and his 65 points ranked third on his club. He added another seven points (3-4=7) in 11 postseason games.

LA Kings and NHL Partner to Launch Beijing Jr. Kings Youth Hockey Program

Beijing Jr. Kings become the first-ever development initiative for any NHL team in China

The LA Kings and the NHL are strengthening their presence in China and expanding their relationship with ORG Packaging, a packaging and containers company based in Beijing, with the launch of Beijing Jr. Kings.

The agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, makes the Beijing Jr. Kings the first-ever youth hockey development program created, owned and operated by the LA Kings outside Los Angeles and the first-ever development initiative for any NHL team in China.

The program will be housed at the new Beijing A.Z. Ice Sports Club and former Kings forward Todd Elik serves as head coach.

LA Kings to Broadcast All Games on iHeartRadio for 2018-19 Season

All-new LA Kings Audio Network to debut as Nick Nickson and Daryl Evans return to the booth

The LA Kings and iHeartMedia have announced that as part of a new and innovative digital partnership, all Kings games - including preseason, regular season and postseason contests - will now stream live on the new official LA Kings Audio Network, a custom station available on iHeartRadio, iHeartMedia's all-in-one digital music, podcast, on demand and live streaming radio service.

The coverage on iHeartRadio will also include the broadcast's 30-minute pregame show, which begins with tonight's first preseason game against the Arizona Coyotes at STAPLES Center at 7 p.m.

Additionally, iHeartRadio will feature Kings Talk, the club's popular call-in radio show, which will stream live after most home games inside the Impact Sports Bar & Grill inside STAPLES Center.
