Secure early pricing ($40) if you sign up by September 30th! From there, participating is easy and convenient - get outside for a run or walk wherever you like between October 23-31 then upload your results.

How To Participate:

  • T-Shirt with glow in the dark design
  • Participant Medal
  • Finisher's Certificate
  • Race day playlist curated by the LA Kings
  • Prerecorded Opening Ceremony Video

Here is where things get competitive - since we can't hold our event in person like usual, we're giving out awards differently too. We even have official rules!

While there will be no awards based on overall running performance or within your age group, registered participants who wish to participate will be eligible to be judged in various categories, such as:

  • Best Race Selfie
  • Best Individual Costume
  • Best Group Costume
  • Cutest Canine Racer
  • Most Spirited Racer

We know it's not the race experience you are used to but we're going to make the best of these times of social distancing. Enjoy your run and Go Kings Go!

In 2009 the LA Kings committed to supporting the Blood Donor Center (BDC) at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, in doing so making it possible for 90-95% of CHLA patients' blood transfusion needs to be fulfilled by donations through the Center.

As CHLA works to provide superior care for families in Los Angeles during the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for blood products continues to rise. We need your help to support patients during this critical time!

Proceeds of the LA Kings Virtual Halloween 5K will benefit Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Blood Donor Center and we are encouraging all participants who are able to make an appointment to donate blood during the month of October.

Q: Virtual Running? What's that?

A: Although we can't be together in person for the annual LA Kings race, you can still make a commitment to race on your own. Many of the perks of an in-person race will still be available to you, including a participant medal and shirt that you absolutely won't want to miss out on!

Q: What do I have to do to earn my participant medal & t-shirt?

A: Sign up and go for a run between October 24-31 wherever you are located. Be sure to track yourself (we recommend the adidas Runtastic mobile application), screen shot your run summary and [submit your results]. Your well-deserved race swag will be mailed to you AFTER race day.

Q: Can I run from anywhere in the world?

A: You sure can! Just be mindful of social distancing while you're out there.

Q: What's the deadline to register as a Virtual Runner?

A: Registration will close on October 31, 2020 at 11:59pm.

Q: Who can sign up to run virtually?

A: Anyone is eligible to register. There are no age restrictions.

Q: Can I still receive an Age Group Award if I've earned it based on how fast I complete my course (wherever in the world I may be)?

A: No, since we cannot be together this year we are unable to give out prizes based off performance.
