POLETIN’S TWO-GOAL GAME

Tomas Poletin notched his second multi-goal game of the season for the Kelowna Rockets, with a pair of tallies against the Lethbridge Hurricanes in Friday’s 5-4 OT loss.

The Islanders’ 2025 fourth-rounder (106th overall) tied the game at one apiece in a scramble in front of the net. Poletin later added his second goal of the night – a power play goal to make it 4-3 – with a snap shot in the high slot. He earned first star of the game honors despite the loss.

The 18-year-old is averaging a point-per-game pace in his first WHL season with 18 points (11G, 7A) in 17 games.

EKLUND SCORES FIRST SHL GOAL

Victor Eklund potted his first goal in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) in a 3-2 OT loss for Djurgårdens IF on Wednesday.

The 2025 16th overall pick opened the scoring at the 4:06 mark of the first period with a deflection.

Eklund and Team Sweden won the U20 Five Nations Tournament, which is an opportunity for national teams to prepare for the upcoming IIHF World Junior Championship that kicks off on Dec. 26. Eklund contributed five points (2G, 3A) through three games of the tournament, which concluded on Nov. 9.

Eklund laced up for his country last season in the World Juniors where he tallied six points (2G, 4A) in seven games.

EISERMAN RETURNS

Cole Eiserman returned to the BU lineup after missing four games with a lower-body injury he sustained against UConn on October 25th.

Eiserman recorded four shots on goal in Saturday’s 6-2 loss to Quinnipiac.

The 2024 20th overall pick has eight points (6G, 2A) through eight games in his sophomore season.
