A PRODUCTIVE PRACTICE
The Islanders put in the work on Tuesday in a lengthy session and they were all-smiles. Max Shabanov, who turned 25 on Tuesday, had the honor of being in the center of the team circle in the end-of-practice tradition.
The Islanders focused on special teams and breakouts in Tuesday's session. The overarching theme of camp has been on team structure and special teams, which was intended to prepare the group for the regular season.
"We're building on our structure, building on all three zones and playing as a unit of five," Captain Anders Lee said.
