New York Islanders General Manage and Executive Vice President Mathieu Darche gave an update on Bo Horvat's status during his introductory press conference on Thursday.

Darche confirmed that Horvat suffered an ankle injury while playing for Canada at the IIHF World Championship and that his recovery was expected to take four-to-six weeks. Horvat is expected to make a full recovery.

"Bo came back from world championship, where he played outstanding," Darche said. "He had rave reviews from the staff over there. He's got a little ankle injury, nothing serious, four to six weeks, he's already rehabbing, so there's nothing serious in that. There's no concerns whatsoever."
