As giving back to the community is a key pillar of the Lightning's brand, The Lightning Foundation is delighted to join with our corporate sponsors in order to do good and give back together. As a result, nonprofits are able to benefit not only financially, but also through hundreds of hours spent volunteering in the Tampa Bay community.

Please see below for more information regarding several of the Tampa Bay Lightnings Partnership and Community Activation programs:

Mosaic Goals for Food

For every goal scored by the Lightning during 2025-26 regular season home games, Mosaic will donate $1,000, and for every hat trick scored, Mosaic will donate $1,500 to regional food partners. Each dollar donated provides 10 meals to help fight food insecurity.

During the 2024-25 season, donations totaled $149,000, which will be donated to 12 local food partners.

MicroLumen Honorary Captain

In partner with MicroLumen, the Lightning organization welcomes six patients from Make A Wish and Children's Dream Fund to Benchmark International Arena each season. The patients are our Honorary Captain for the evening and receive a once in a lifetime VIP experience with the Lightning including visiting morning skate and the locker room, a Zamboni ride, VIP seats and their own special segment on the Lightning Vision jumbotron during the game.

Points by Paul

Nick Paul is passionate about supporting mental health awareness. For every point he scores this season, he will donate $150 to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.

At the end of the 2024–25 season, Nick recorded 41 points during the regular season, along with 2 additional points in the postseason. Through his efforts, Paul was able to contribute $6,450, which was matched by Slide Insurance—bringing the total donation to $12,900. The donation was presented to representatives from the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay.

Strikes of Kindness

Strikes of Kindness Day, powered by DEX Imaging, is an annual day of giving donation a total of $100,000 to local nonprofits while bringing together Lightning and DEX staff for volunteer activations throughout the Tampa Bay community. In just one day, the initiative generated more than 300 volunteer hours.
