Points by Paul is a program launched by Nick Paul early in his hockey career to support mental health awareness. For each point Nick has scored as a member of the Lightning since January of 2023, he has donated $150 to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay to support their work caring for community members in need of mental health resources and support.

Since the 2024-25 season, all donations made by Nick through this program are matched by Slide Insurance, continuing to expand the impact made by this valuable initiative.

At the end of the 2025-26 season, $28,500 was donated to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay through the 2025-26 Points by Paul program in partnership with Slide Insurance. This donation included Nick’s donation, a match by Slide Insurance, and additional donations from Lightning fans, the Lightning Foundation, and the Baker & Emily Mayfield Foundation.
