The Islanders are committed to helping make a difference in the community by working with and for causes close to the hearts of our fans. Throughout the course of the season, we will be working with a select group of non-profit organizations to help raise awareness and funding for their causes at Islanders games this upcoming season.

Non-profit organizations selected to participate will receive the following: concourse table, volunteer/fan interaction, 50/50 proceeds, in-game feature during the Community Corner spotlight, and other marketing assets as available.

Oct. 10, 2024 - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island

Big Brothers Big Sisters mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth by making meaningful, professionally supported matches between adult volunteers (Bigs) and children (Littles).

Oct. 19, 2024 - Fans for the Cure

Fans for the Cure promotes education, patient referrals, Women's and Men's support groups, and medical screenings on behalf of men and families as they journey with prostate cancer.

Oct. 22, 2024 - Friends of Karen

The mission of Friends of Karen is to provide emotional, financial and advocacy support for children with a life-threatening illness and their families in order to help keep them stable, functioning, and able to cope. Friends of Karen started in 1978 with one family; one child, Karen MacInnes; and one inspired woman, Sheila Petersen. Since then, we have assisted more than 18,000 children and their families.

Oct. 22, 2024 - Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation - Mighty Madison

Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation’s mission is to fund less toxic therapies for children with cancer so they can have a better quality of life as they battle the disease and to give children battling cancer and their families hope during the most difficult days of their lives.

Oct. 26, 2024 - Stepping Stones Support

Stepping Stones Support is a grassroots, all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping men and women affected by cancer. Through its Survivor’s Helper program, the organization annually provides holiday gifts and winter necessities to cancer patients and their families in treatment.

The mission of Corey's Promise is simple - help families offset the financial burdens they endure during their child's cancer diagnosis and raise awareness for pediatric cancer.

The mission of the Suzanne M. Scanio Foundation is to spread kindness to families facing grief or hardship in their lives, provide educational scholarships, and advocate for breast cancer research.

The mission of United Heroes League is to help military families heal, build friendships, and engagement in their communities through sports. They do this by providing access to a wide range of sports activities. Through United Heroes League these kids get to play on sports teams, get equipment, and go to camps and training clinics all at no cost to the military family. They even get to meet and spend time with professional athletes. That's why more than 100 pro athletes and 39 sports teams have signed on to help. Be a hero by helping a hero.

It’s truly an honor to serve the men and women who have courageously served and sacrificed for our country.

A Soldier’s Journey Home mission is simple: with volunteers from all over the country, we galvanize the local community and build a specially-adapted, mortgage-free home for a veteran with disabilities to give back for the sacrifices they have made on our behalf and on behalf of our nation.

Island Harvest Food Bank is a leading human services organization whose mission is to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island. We accomplish this through innovative programs and services aimed at enhanced hunger awareness, short-term case management, nutrition education, outreach and advocacy initiatives, a Workforce Skills Development Institute, our organic farm, and efficient food collection and distribution. Our work directly supports children, families, seniors, and veterans who turn to us in times of crisis and supports a network of 300 community-based nonprofit organizations. Island Harvest Food Bank is a member of Feeding America®, a nationwide network of food banks leading the effort to solve hunger in the U.S.

Nov. 30, 2024 - Guide Dog Foundation

The Guide Dog Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization serving clients from across the United States and Canada. The Foundation relies on contributions from generous individuals, corporations, service clubs, and foundations to fund its mission to serve people with disabilities. It costs over $50,000 to breed, raise, train, and place one assistance dog, but the Guide Dog Foundation provides its services completely free of charge to the individual. Its sister organization, America’s VetDogs, trains and provides guide, service, and hearing dogs for disabled veterans and first responders. The Guide Dog Foundation was the first assistance dog school in the United States to be accredited by both the International Guide Dog Federation and Assistance Dogs International.
