A Look ahead at the next two years
Over the next two years, Monumental Sports & Entertainment will continue building momentum towards completion of a brand-new Arena and Entertainment District, anchoring downtown D.C. for the next 30 years. Our goal is to elevate every moment of the fan experience, from the first step inside to the final horn and beyond. The vision is to transform the entire street-to-seat journey for our most important customers. As we invest in the future of this building, our fans will notice some significant, but temporary, changes along the way. We appreciate your patience as we work behind the scenes (and sometimes right in front of you) to create a next-generation venue that will redefine the sports and entertainment landscape in the nation’s capital.
To fully redevelop our current exterior of the building to a brand-new modern design, the exterior skin of the building will be removed beginning early this year. As construction progresses, scaffolding will be visible on portions of the arena’s exterior. While the building may look a little different at times, every wall, adjusted entrances, and barriers represent progress toward a reimagined venue that will better serve our fans, our teams, and our community. Inside and around the arena, there may be temporary adjustments to ingress and egress routes. Some entrances, exits, stairwells, or concourses could shift depending on the phase of construction. Clear signage, staff support, and advance communication will help guide you, and we encourage fans to allow a little extra time when arriving and departing. These changes will be included in Season Ticket Member communication platforms, team websites and our District Momentum arena transformation website. Additionally, select premium clubs and hospitality spaces will experience temporary impacts, including modified layouts as improvements are made. These updates are all part of a broader plan to enhance comfort, design, and functionality in the long term, as demonstrated with our recent unveiling of The Halo and soon-to-be-released plans for the new Main and Terrace Concourse levels. Throughout this transformation, our commitment remains the same: delivering world-class events in a safe, welcoming, and energetic environment. We’ll continue to share updates so you know what to expect before you arrive—and what exciting enhancements are still to come.
Key Dates and Changes to Know for 2026
★ January - February
- Outside The Arena
Construction begins on the 6th Street side of the building to prepare for the new United Globe dedicated entrance opening in Fall 2026. In preparation for exterior scaffolding, protected walkways over the F Street entrance will be built and canopies demolished.
- Inside The Arena
The F Street main entrance may feel slightly more constrained due to temporary walls. All major retail and dining locations remain open, though Caesars Sportsbook and Devils Backbone will operate with a slightly smaller footprint. The Box Office location remains the same, with fewer windows available.
★ March - July
- Outside The Arena
Exterior scaffolding will be installed and existing LED boards removed in preparation for a new LED system. Overhead structure to be built above current alleyway on 7th Street leading into Gallery Place.
- Inside The Arena
The dancker Club and Ultra Club will operate with a reduced footprint during this phase, and some stairwells throughout the building will be narrower than usual. A limited number of restrooms across the arena may be temporarily unavailable, with advance event communication provided.
★ August - December
- Outside The Arena
Exterior scaffolding will begin coming down in phases, starting along F Street and continuing toward 7th Street.
- Inside The Arena
Some stairwells will continue to operate with reduced access, and a limited number of restrooms across the arena may remain temporarily offline. Updates will be shared ahead of events to help fans plan their visit.

United Globe Club
The United Globe Club is the foundation of the Capitals VIP experience. Designed as an expansive, social hospitality destination, the Club offers seamless access, elevated dining, and unmatched service throughout the game. Spanning more than 24,000 square feet across two levels, the United Globe Club delivers 30 percent more space than any previous VIP area in the arena. Members enjoy access beginning 90 minutes prior to puck drop and for one hour after the final horn, creating a complete game night experience from arrival to departure. Guests are welcomed into a progressive, all-inclusive food and beverage experience that evolves throughout the game. From curated small bites and interactive chef stations to classic arena favorites and late-night dessert offerings, every detail is designed to elevate the night.
Food & Beverage Experience
A meticulously curated, progressive dining experience with flavors and selections that will evolve over the course of each event will provide our VIP guests with a culinary experience unlike anything offered before. Before and during each event, VIP guests will enjoy complimentary all-inclusive dining, including an extensive selection of premium domestic and imported beers, and a variety of fine wines. A full assortment of top-shelf liquor will also be available for purchase in the club. Each event will begin with an extensive selection of small bites and elevated snacks. Guests can then explore interactive chef stations, where live culinary artistry brings each dish to life. For those craving a taste of tradition, classic arena favorites will also be available to enjoy in the club or take back to your seats.
United Globe Lounge
The United Globe Lounge is the most exclusive hospitality destination inside Capital One Arena, reserved for Capitals Row A glass seat holders. Guests are welcomed with butler passed hors d'oeuvres and curated cocktails before puck drop, followed by a continuously evolving culinary program throughout the game. Gourmet small plates, interactive chef driven stations, and seasonal menus are paired with a full service open bar featuring premium beers, boutique wines, and signature cocktails crafted by expert mixologists. Lounge members receive personalized service including concierge support and access to pre and postgame experiences. While the Lounge serves as the premier all-inclusive retreat, row A members also enjoy access to the United Globe Club as well. Gourmet small plates, interactive chef-driven stations, and seasonal menus are paired with a full-service open bar featuring premium beers, boutique wines, and signature cocktails crafted by expert mixologists.
Food & Beverage Experience
From the moment guests arrive in the United Globe Lounge, they’ll be greeted with butler-passed hors d'oeuvres and a curated cocktail pairing. Throughout the first period, an array of small bites and an interactive Chef’s Table will offer a constantly evolving selection of gourmet dishes. As the first period concludes, the space transforms, unveiling a decadent dessert display and after-hours station, featuring indulgent confections from our award-winning pastry chef, paired with late-night libations. Seasonal collaborations with renowned local and national chefs will introduce fresh, dynamic flavors throughout the year. Pay 50% of your total invoice upon renewal and your same credit card will be automatically charged the remaining 50% of your invoice on August 17, 2026.
Spread out over four payments, paying 25% of your invoice upon renewal and subsequent 25% payments made on or around June 15, 2026, August 17, 2026, and October 15, 2026.
12 equal installment payments made via credit card, first payment made at the time of renewal, subsequent payments made on or around the 15th of each month through February 15, 2027.
