The Flyers Local Rink Alliance is aimed at collaborating with local ice rinks to create steady growth, participation, and interest in the sport of hockey among young boys and girls. Participating rinks have access to an exclusive collection of benefits including branding opportunities, marketing assets and programming from Flyers team personnel. Rinks receive an Orange & Black makeover with the Flyers' logo and branding at center ice, on the dasher boards, and at other locations throughout each facility. The Flyers will provide each rink with a set of four full Flyers Season tickets to provide young players a chance to experience professional hockey in person, connect with the Flyers brand, and draw inspiration for their own playing careers. Each location will also receive a "Chalk Talk" session with a member of the Flyers coaching staff and have a Flyers Player Honorary Captain assigned to their rink.
Through this new program, the Flyers also provide support to local participating rinks through promotions, exclusive access to special ticket offers and events, and access to programming and initiatives such as the Flyers Learn to Play Rookie Program, which serve as a direct pipeline for getting student athletes involved in the sport. Each rink also receives a 30 second radio spot during each Flyers game broadcast.
