FEATURED RESCUE

As part of our Hockey & Hounds initiative, the Philadelphia Flyers are proud to feature an adoptable dog each month from one of our two incredible partner organizations: the Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA) and the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). Through this partnership, we aim to shine a spotlight on dogs in need of loving homes by helping connect them with caring families in our community. Both PAWS and PSPCA work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, and the Flyers are honored to support their life-saving efforts.

Each month throughout the season, the Flyers will feature a specially selected adoptable dog from either PSPCA or PAWS across the team’s social media channels, website, and in select in-game promotions. These featured pups will receive the star treatment they deserve — complete with adorable photos, fun facts, and the chance to meet their future forever families.

Meet Barbie Dreamhouse!

She’s snuggly, she’s fabulous, and yes, she's 100% real! 3-year-old Barbie is the life of the party, whether she’s trotting around proudly with a toy in her mouth, rolling over for endless butt scritches, or wiggling with joy when she meets someone new (human OR dog!). Her fosters adore her, and shared, “Barbie is an incredible specimen. She is goofy and snuggly and will be your shadow if you're missing one. She loves to be on a big couch watching TV, so we're happy to hang out together while we're looking for her forever home.” Our girl, Barbie, is having a hard time with city life and would love to move to a quieter neighborhood, or to a home where she’ll have a yard to wiggle in. If you’re ready to bring maximum joy into your life, apply today to make this happy house hippo your very own dream girl!

Featured Rescue Organizations

The Pennsylvania SPCA (PSPCA)

The Pennsylvania SPCA rescues animals from cruelty and neglect, rehabilitates them medically and behaviorally, and places them with new, loving families. More than 150 years after their founding, the PSPCA is the state's leading animal welfare organization. Headquartered in North Philadelphia, they have two regional locations, the Central PA Center at Danville and the Lancaster Center

Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

PAWS' mission is to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every savable pet is guaranteed a home. As the city's largest rescue partner and provider of affordable, basic veterinary care, PAWS saves and finds loving homes for thousands of homeless animals each year, and prevents thousands more from entering shelters in the first place by enabling families to care for and keep their cherished pets.
