Lammikko

The New Jersey Devils announced today that the team has signed forward Juho Lammikko to a one-year, one-way contract worth $800,000. The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.

Lammikko, 29, spent last season playing the ZSC Lions of the National League (NL) in Switzerland, where the 6-foot-3, 205-pound forward posted 38 points (13g-25a) in 48 games. His assist total was tied for the team lead, while his plus/minus rating (+23) placed him second on the club and ranked third leaguewide. Additionally, the left-handed shot recorded eight points (5g-3a) in 13 postseason contests as ZSC captured the league championship. Lammikko spent the last three years with the Lions, scoring 112 points (48g-64a) in 144 games played. In 2022-23, he led his team in points (40) while his 24 goals were tied for the third-most in the NL. He finished in the top five of team scoring all three seasons. Lammikko had 19 points (12g-7a) in 32 career NL playoff contests, and he helped the Lions win consecutive championships the past two years.

Born January 29, 1996, the native of Noormarkku, Finland, was selected by Florida in the third round, 65th overall, in the 2014 NHL Draft. Lammikko has 159 games of NHL experience (11g-15a-26pts) between 2018-21 with Florida (84 GP) followed by one season with the Vancouver Canucks (75 GP) in 2021-22.

Lammikko made his NHL debut with Florida on Oct. 11, 2018, and recorded a career-high 93 hits with Vancouver in 2021-22. He has also appeared in 143 regular-season AHL games with Portland and Springfield from 2015-16 to 2018-19 and recorded 57 points (20g-37a).

He has represented Finland in international play, earning three gold medals. The forward helped Finland win gold at the International Ice Hockey Federation’s (IIHF) 2016 World Junior Championship (WJC), the 2019 World Championship (WC), and the 2022 WC. This year, he played for Finland at the 2025 WC, where he was teammates with 2023 second-round pick Lenni Hameenaho.
