The Washington Capitals ALL CAPS ALL HER platform is an initiative aiming to provide access to hockey and elevate the game for women and girls in the Washington D.C. area, while recognizing and supporting female players, coaches, parents, advocates, and leaders in the community.
Through four pillars, events and programs within the ALL CAPS ALL HER platform will provide various level of entry into the sport for women and girls of all ages, provide valuable leadership and business development insights and networking opportunities, and highlight inspiring and influential women and families in our community.
The Washington Capitals welcome those who are non-binary, transgender, gender fluid, or cisgender women to participate in events and programs within the ALL CAPS ALL HER platform.
The Washington Capitals hosted Women in Hockey Night presented by Fresh Vine Wine on Monday, March 28, vs. the Carolina Hurricanes. In-game and social content highlighted women in hockey and showcased the Capitals ALL CAPS ALL HER program. The Capitals hosted a Women in Sports networking event for undergraduate and graduate women pursuing a career in sports on Saturday, March 26th. As a signature event for the ALL CAPS ALL HER initiative, the agenda included a panel featuring women from across the Capitals organization discussing different career paths in hockey and gave these students the chance to network with Capitals staff and other attendees.
