Two years ago, defenceman Elias Pettersson made his AHL debut with the Abbotsford Canucks and has shown steady development in his game ever since.
Now, Pettersson finds himself as an everyday NHL defenceman with the Vancouver Canucks.
“I think my game is a little different,” said Pettersson about his evolution since coming to North America. “I think I’ve been improving and developing pretty good and just want to keep developing here. Yeah, just getting better every day.”
Pettersson also discusses his youth and what it was like to make his SHL debut as a teenager. He tells stories about how he really found his style of play when he began playing for Sweden at the World Junior Championships, and much more!
The Canucks are back on home ice tomorrow at 4:00 p.m. P.T, as they host the Utah Mammoth at Rogers Arena.
